About the Brand
Most of our sheets are made in our award-winning factory in India. The factory is independently certified for its compliance on all levels. We do have some products made in China, under our team’s supervision.
Our brand was born in California and our team is based in California, where we still design all our products. Our name reflects one of the primary inspirations behind our brand: California, the state known for its harmony, energy, and innovation. We are dedicated to creating laid-back, beautifully crafted products designed with that same vitality and creativity in mind.
All of our sheets are independently tested and inspected to ensure thread count and a flawless final product. Most of our sheets are certified Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex, meaning they are certified free of more than 300 chemicals. In addition, our organic cotton sheet sets are GOTS certified.
Yes. At California Design Den, we believe in using sustainable, environmentally-friendly packaging whenever possible. We keep usage of any non-recyclable material to a bare minimum, and many of our bags are designed to be reused for home storage.

Product Care
For the ultimate sleep experience, we do recommend that you wash your new sheets prior to the first use.
Care of our bedding is simple. Wash at home on short wash and dry cycles, use a warm iron if desired, and use only non-chlorine bleach on colored items.
To keep your sheets beautiful for years to come, we recommend that you wash them separately from other items and avoid high heat, use mild detergents, avoid brighteners or bleaches when possible, and store them away from direct sunlight.
Although all cotton products shrink, we take great care during our finishing process to limit post-wash shrinkage to between 2 and 3%. This is above the retailer standard of 4%, and ensures sheets will fit well post wash.
Orders
You can log into your account at any time to check your order status. Every order is also provided with a tracking number, so you can track your order via the courier website.
Before an order ships, you can contact us to request an order cancellation. If the order has already been shipped, you'll need to return the order and we can refund or exchange the item as needed.
We don't currently offer this service, but may in the future!

If you have changed your mind and would like to cancel your order, please contact us or hello@californiadesignden.com and we can assist you. If your order has not been sent, we can process the refund and assist you with cancellation. If it has been dispatched, you will have to return the item once it arrives.
Your payment is secured as our team never gets to see any of your credit card or payment details - ever! It’s processed by Shopify Payments. We accept PayPal, all major credit cards, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

The size of sheet you need depends on the size of your mattress. Please look at the size chart on any of our sheet pages to learn more.
Thread count reflects the number of horizontal (filling) threads and vertical (warp) threads in one square inch of fabric. This standard of measurement should only be used for cotton or cotton blend sheets, not those made of microfiber or other materials. Generally speaking, a higher thread count means a denser, more expensive fabric. But as individual tastes differ in terms of softness and weight of fabric, it's essential to keep more than thread count in mind when selecting sheets. At California Design Den, we use only the finest quality, single ply yarns to craft our sheets. This superior quality can be felt in every set of sheets we offer, from lush 400-thread-count sets to our ultimate, 1000-thread-count sets.
Yes, we have authentic GOTS Certified 100% organic cotton sheets product as well. Just select the fabric quality in the filter to see your options.
We do not treat our cotton sheets with extra chemicals to make the bedding "wrinkle free." However, our cotton products feature superior quality yarns, weave, and finish, and are easily kept smooth by washing and drying them on quick cycles and removing them from your machine as soon as the cycle has ended.
Let's not confuse this with satin fabric to start with. The “sateen” is a weave, where using 100% cotton yarns, we weave a fabric which has a sheen on 1 side and matt on the other side. It makes the fabric soft and lustrous.
Percale weave is a classic weave: 1 thread up and 1 thread down. It produces a crisp, matte fabric, unlike sateen weave which features one more glossy side.

California Design Den is pleased to offer FREE standard shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. All purchases ship within 2 business days. You may also choose expedited shipping for an additional charge.
All orders are shipped with 2 business days. Delivery times vary across the continental U.S., but are generally between 2 and 5 days.
