What Makes a Great Fitted Sheet?
A fitted sheet has three jobs: stay on the mattress, feel good against your skin, and last through hundreds of washes. Most sheets fail at the first one. Here's what separates a fitted sheet that works from one that ends up balled at the foot of the bed by 3 AM.
360° Elastic
Elastic should run the entire perimeter — not just the corners. Full-perimeter elastic is the difference between a sheet that stays and one that pops off.
Correct Pocket Depth
Too shallow and it won't fit. Too deep and it bunches. Match the pocket depth to your mattress height — with an inch or two of tolerance.
Quality Cotton

How to Measure Your Mattress
Remove all bedding. Stand a tape measure at the edge of the mattress, from the bottom of the mattress where it meets the bed frame or foundation to the top sleeping surface. Include any pillow top or mattress topper if you plan to sheet over it.

Cotton fitted sheets are easy to care for — and they get softer with each wash. A few simple habits will keep them looking and feeling new for years.
Machine wash in warm or cold water. Tumble dry on low. Remove promptly to minimize wrinkles. Avoid bleach — it weakens cotton fibers over time. If you use a dryer sheet, use a fragrance-free one, or skip it entirely (cotton doesn't need it).
The most common cause of premature wear isn't washing — it's friction. Rough or jagged mattress surfaces, exposed springs, or abrasive mattress protectors can wear through fabric faster. A smooth mattress surface extends sheet life significantly.

What's the difference between a fitted sheet and a flat sheet?
A fitted sheet has elastic edges and wraps snugly around your mattress — it's the bottom sheet you sleep directly on. A flat sheet is a rectangular sheet that lies on top of you, between your body and the blanket or duvet. They serve different purposes: the fitted sheet protects the mattress and provides the sleeping surface; the flat sheet adds a layer of comfort and keeps your duvet clean.
How do I know if a fitted sheet will fit my mattress?
Measure your mattress from the bottom edge to the top sleeping surface, including any topper. Then check the sheet's pocket depth. CDD's fitted sheets fit mattresses from 8 inches to 16 inches deep, which covers the vast majority of mattresses sold today.
Why does my fitted sheet keep popping off?
