Each California Design Den duvet cover set includes 1 duvet cover and 2 matching pillow shams (1 sham for Twin size). We also sell just a duvet cover as well ( no pillow shams). The insert or comforter is sold separately, so you can choose the weight or fill you prefer - cotton, down, or down-alternative - for your ideal comfort level.

For the best drape and fill, choose a duvet cover that matches your insert size. As the comforter / insert sizes are NOT standard in the US, please do measure yours and compare it to our duvet cover size before buying. A few inches of plus or minus will work, but anything more will not be a fit. A snug fit gives a smoother, more tailored bed; a slightly oversized insert creates a lofty, hotel-style finish.

The simplest way is the “roll” or “burrito” method:

1. Lay the duvet cover inside out on your bed, with the opening at the foot.
2. Place your insert on top, aligning corners and tying the ties.
3. Starting at the head, roll both layers together toward the opening.

Pull the cover opening around the roll, zip or button closed, then unroll. Your duvet will be perfectly placed.
